Other addresses

If 192.168.1.1 doesn’t open, try 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.100.1. On Windows, ipconfig shows it as the Default Gateway.

A good password

At least 12 characters, for example a few words joined. Use WPA2-PSK or WPA3; never WEP (easy to crack).

The modem’s admin password

The password for the settings page isn’t the WiFi password. If it is still the factory one, change it under Management too so guests can’t change your settings.
