Activation Lock
While Find My iPhone is on, the iPhone can’t be reset and used by someone else without your Apple ID. That makes stolen iPhones much less valuable.
Lost Mode
At icloud.com/find choose Mark As Lost: the iPhone locks, Apple Pay is suspended and your phone number shows on its screen.
Stolen Device Protection
Settings › Face ID & Passcode › Stolen Device Protection stops a thief who knows your passcode from changing your Apple ID away from home.
