The other person can open it on a map and get directions.
“Share live location” keeps updating your position for the time you choose. Stop it when you no longer need it.

Location is inaccurate
Turn on Location in quick settings and wait a few seconds outdoors. Inside buildings GPS can be off by tens of metres.
Live location
Useful for pick-ups or walking home at night. Choose a duration (15 minutes, 1 hour, 8 hours) and stop it from the same chat.
Privacy
Only send your location to people you know. Your home’s location is personal information.
