Control Center opens. On iPhones with a Home button, swipe up from the bottom.

Tap again to turn it off. Press and hold to set how bright it is.
Slide the sun bar up or down

Wi-Fi in Control Center
Tapping Wi-Fi in Control Center only disconnects until tomorrow, it doesn’t fully turn it off. To really turn it off: Settings › Wi-Fi.
Add buttons
Settings › Control Center: add Screen Recording, Magnifier or Dark Mode.
Flashlight from the lock screen
Press and hold the flashlight icon on the lock screen to turn it on without unlocking.
